24 October

There have been celebrations for my sister Linda and Ian's 25th Wedding anniversary.

There was a family meal for Prescots plus Budzinskis.

But the main event was an anniversary holiday in South Africa. They went to the country for their honeymoon and had wanted to go back and see if they could catch sight of some more wildlife.

Within the first few days they snapped penguins, sea otters, dolphins and seals. The Cape of Good Hope was a great visit as was the wine region.

Then it was off to a nature reserve called De Hoop in the Western Cape Province along the Garden Route (which apparently is very well known). Accommodation was fabulous and there were frequent sight seeing excursions.

This ostrich held them up for a bit. Long walk to freedom.

They were able to do whale watching before breakfast from their verandah and caught sight of all of the big five animals - elephant, giraffe, lion, leopard and buffalo. They returned home after a wonderful holiday and adventure with lots of lovely memories.

I was so pleased for them both. I had moments while they were away of thinking that I had lost my regular task of showing and explaining Facebook photies to mum. She would have laughed like a drain at a photo of Ian standing in a famous wayside bar surrounded by bras.

Linda concurred that she missed sending a postcard and felt pangs of regret about all the things she wouldn't be able to tell her about. However, she also felt close to both mum and dad's words of wisdom: Take it easy, don't over do it, go on treat yourself, take lots of snaps, don't bring any money home.

Ángeles Blancas Gulin as Emilia Marty Then Colin and I met up for a couple of operas. The first was a Welsh National Opera production of Věc Makropulos (The Makropulos Affair) by Leoš Janáček and based on Karel Čapek's drama. We drove over to Llandudno for that and had a fish and chip supper before the show.

It was an amazing company achievement conducted by Tomáš Hanus in a very taut and well thought through production by Olivia Fuchs. While there were excellent performances throughout the cast, it was Ángeles Blancas Gulin's show. Her Emilia Marty was a theatrical creature of great spirit and guile who at last felt the need to let go and leave this mortal coil. The ending was terrific.

Joyce DiDonato as Cendrillon A few days' later, we met up to watch a stream of the Royal Opera production of Massenet's Cendrillon with Joyce DiDonato, Eglise Gutiérrez, Alice Coote and Ewa Podleś. The music was conducted by Bertrand de Billy and the show was directed by Laurent Pelly.

I caught the show in the house back in 2011 and enjoyed it then. It was never revived and so I was glad to spend a few hours with it again. The singing was, as remembered, sumptuous.

Danny In a totally separate set of circumstances, Danny and I met up and shagged and he loosed off a big, thick, creamy cum shot for me.

I enjoyed watching Season 5 of Elite earlier this year. It was outrageous fun and Manu Rios and André Lamoglia established themselves as the leading lights. Pre-season publicity for Season 6 intimated that there would be a lot of the pair of them getting nekkid together.

This turned out not to the case and caused muttering amongst the ranks.

Elsewhere, HRVY, who is one of those young (23), modern musicians, social media presences and TV personalities, has made we gays very happy by finally providing visual evidence that he is willing to give his buns the light of day.

I enjoyed The Bastard Son and the Devil Himself on Netflix - coming of age among teenagers with supernatural powers. The central trio of performers, Nadia Parkes, Jay Lycurgo and Emilien Vekemans, were good looking and nauural actors. It was put together by the same team as did Giri/Haji back in 2019 and that flair showed through.

Tee Hee. I would happily oblige Peace if he were willing.

Shagging Peace

I'm reminded of an old slogan from the 1970s. "Fighting for peace is like fucking for chastity".

Did you know that James Ussher, 17th Century Archbishop of Ireland, used the bible to work out that God created the Universe on 23 October 4004 BC?

It was a Saturday.

Leo: Well, it sounds like he was talking out of his hat

David: I guess that he was trying his best with the data he had. Even then, many people were sceptical.

Unsurprisingly, in certain parts of the USA, this opinion is taught as being actual fact.
