Thanks to Sam and Tom, who bought me this book for Christmas, I have embarked on a whole new culinary expedition starting with...
...my attempt at this recipe for a Sunday Roast albeit on a Saturday and after a couple of pints at the Edinburgh Pub with Roland.
I shall have to consider the merits of Dry January.
This is the first time time that I have made my own stuffing with sage, onion, sausage meat and apple.
It made a lovely gooey mess to insert into the chest cavity of the chicken. (As an aside, I did send the chicken stuffing photo to a couple of the lads of negotiable affection who I see in Liverpool. I've just discovered in no uncertain terms that one of them is a vegan. He's quite happy swallowing spunk mind.)
Then carrots and parsnips followed by potatoes to roast. And into the oven.
Time passes and then "Voila!!"
Nom nom.
And before we go any further!!
This is, hopefully, going to be the year that Liverpool FC win the Premiership Title and end a thirty year wait. Here's Bill Shankly on the importance of the club.
Earlier in the week, before the glow of the festivities began to wear off, I also treated myself to my first extra-curricula nookie of the year.
Shayne and Luke live in Salford quite close to the other Luke as it happens. They are a couple and welcome others into their shared lives. Luke I quite liked. Shayne is a bit brittle and very particular. The hour passed pleasantly and I'm thinking that a second visit to see how things turn out is called for.
